(Archived) QA Analyst/Functional Tester
Job Description
Luminate is looking for a highly motivated high school or college student to join our team for a 10-12 week internship this summer. As an intern, you will work on a real project (or a few) and have an opportunity to enjoy our dynamic, startup-like environment with our global remote team.
We work with businesses around the U.S. to build operational systems and solutions on Salesforce.com.
Working to support internal and external customer needs, you will collaborate across client projects and teams. Our goal is to support your growth and development, empowering you for a successful start to your career.
Position Overview
The main function of a QA Analyst/Functional Tester is to validate that the development activities have accurately and completely captured user story acceptance criteria to meet the clients' needs; ensure usability; and ensure a quality product.
Responsibilities
+ Work with business analysts and project managers to understand requirements/acceptance criteria
+ Develop appropriate test cases and related documentation
+ Execute test cases and log defects
+ Work with technical resources to troubleshoot issues
+ Participate in requirements, test plan, design and code reviews, as well as user acceptance testing.
+ Communicate technical concepts simply and effectively
+ Be able to work independently on projects.
Qualifications
A strong interest in the use of technology to solve business problems is required. You do not need an extensive technology background but you should have a strong interest in learning and an ability to self-teach. We will guide you but you should be capable of doing your own internet-based research and thinking to come up with answers.
Experience in Information Technology and Salesforce will be helpful to this role.
Additional Information
This role is for 20 hours per week and is expected to be a mix of remote work and in-person work at a local co-working space. We will work with the intern to find the right mix of working times and settings, taking into consideration the intern’s circumstances and preferences.
The working space is at Worklab in downtown Grand Rapids, with nearby bus stops of Monroe at Louis (9, 11, 22, 45, 90) and Pearl at Monroe (9, 11, 20, 22)
