Xpressions of Praise CPAA is designed to build character and self-esteem in the lives of each student.
Mission: Bridging Faith and Community by the empowerment of health and unity through the Art of Movement and positive youth programs.

Xpressions offers the finest in Christian Dance Education in addition to youth programs such as Classy Young Ladies & Sophisticated Jewels Club, servicing youth ages 7 - 18 years. This club is a free club, providing a safe space for young ladies to develop, create, explore and be empowered.

Our summer program, PADS CAMP (Performing Arts Development Summer Camp) resumes in June, July and August. Servicing youth ages 5-14 in Drama/Theater Studies, Vocal Technique, Dance Genres, Fun Field Trips, Math, Reading Comprehension and more. PADS Camp operates Mon. - Fri. - program hours: 9:00am - 3:30pm. We provide breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks.

Company History

Mrs. Laassah has trained intensely with Patrick Johnson, Artistic Director for Grand Rapids Community College, in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Modern dance. Her passion for dance began as a child and has developed into a lifestyle, in which she pours out her soul when she’s dancing. Her choreography experience began in 1995 with the Grand Rapids City-Wide High School Black History Programs. Along with training and developing several local church Praise Dance Ministries, she has had the opportunity to travel worldwide.
Placements require a financial obligation of $1,600 for each youth under 18 years old, and $2,000 for each intern 18 or older. Please indicate if you are a nonprofit organization and need wage assistance.: Yes
