Help develop your workplan from this a la carte menu (tell us during placement which one(s) interest(s) you):
- Help create & test new development scorecard
- Help draft & collect feedback on proposed new bylaws, policies etc. including policy & procedures for inclusive decision making (sociocracy), compensation structure for neighbor participation and committee member expectations
- Help develop neighbor demographic representation goal
- Draft equitable policies to engage and vet prospective board and committee members, draft recruitment materials
- Help recruit additional participants for the Racial Equity Committee
- Facilitate neighbor meet group (Zoom), facilitate neighbor to neighbor events such as stuff swaps
- Prepare for establishment of a positive presence on Next Door (materials to recruit/train moderators to address microaggressions etc)
- Communication and fundraising for proposed traffic calming solutions on Fairview & Coit
- Help beautify alleys, hold park clean ups, facilitate neighbor removal of trash from yards
- Help track effectiveness of community education
- Prepare neighbor packets for National Night Out
- Participate in sphere garden assembly and maintenance
- Curate content on gardening for new website, encouraging donation of produce to Coit Church’s pantry, education on cottage food law
- Prepare for website redesign
- Explore how to support establishment of healthy food retail
- Prepare fall communication

Neighbors of Belknap Lookout (NOBL) is a neighborhood association on the NE side of Grand Rapids. We are completing our strategic plan now, and have just revised our mission:
