Help develop your workplan from this a la carte menu (tell us during placement which one(s) interest(s) you):

  • Help create & test new development scorecard
  • Help draft & collect feedback on proposed new bylaws, policies etc. including policy & procedures for inclusive decision making (sociocracy), compensation structure for neighbor participation and committee member expectations
  • Help develop neighbor demographic representation goal
  • Draft equitable policies to engage and vet prospective board and committee members, draft recruitment materials
  • Help recruit additional participants for the Racial Equity Committee
  • Facilitate neighbor meet group (Zoom), facilitate neighbor to neighbor events such as stuff swaps
  • Prepare for establishment of a positive presence on Next Door (materials to recruit/train moderators to address microaggressions etc)
  • Communication and fundraising for proposed traffic calming solutions on Fairview & Coit
  • Help beautify alleys, hold park clean ups, facilitate neighbor removal of trash from yards
  • Help track effectiveness of community education
  • Prepare neighbor packets for National Night Out
  • Participate in sphere garden assembly and maintenance
  • Curate content on gardening for new website, encouraging donation of produce to Coit Church’s pantry, education on cottage food law
  • Prepare for website redesign
  • Explore how to support establishment of healthy food retail
  • Prepare fall communication
