GRow1000 participants will develop skills needed for the future. We have created a series of activities that will allow students to research our agency, understand the needs of a vulnerable population, and learn how to provide supportive services to enhance a safety net. Students will also be involved in our DEI activities including: attending various speaker meetings, participating in discussions, and an opportunity to create their own presentation. Our GRow1000 candidate will have opportunities that range from: creating business processes, newsletters, flyers, PowerPoint presentations, track metrics in Excel, and participate in Community Partner meetings and events. We will also discuss resume building, strategies utilized in interviews, soft skills, and workplace etiquette. Our program is 100% virtual. Most activities will be self-led with supervised check-ins via Microsoft Teams. Additional job shadowing activities may require Zoom access.
