You will interact with young people age 7-15 on a frequent basis, while also learning some of the back-end things that need to get done to make the program work.

First Tee is a non-profit youth development program that teaches values and life skills through the game of golf to young people. Our focus is to provide programs to students who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to learn through the game of golf.

First Tee is an international nonprofit organization. First Tee - West Michigan is one of more than 150 chapters throughout the world.

First Tee as an organization has been in existence since 1997, while First Tee - West Michigan has been in existence since 2011. We are in our 10th year anniversary!
Placements require a financial obligation of $1,600 for each youth under 18 years old, and $2,000 for each intern 18 or older. Please indicate if you are a nonprofit organization and need wage assistance.: Yes
What transportation options for getting to and from work are available to you?: By Public Transport (Bus, Wheels to Work, or Bike/ Walk)
Public Transportation Supports: Proximity to bus line and details of which line/stop. Wheels to Work program participation and cost.: Address is accessible to Bus Route, as our GROW1000 intern did take the bus last year. Line 17 and 44 are the closest locations. We also offered transportation to our GROW1000 intern last year through Trusted Rides for some days of the week.

We are frequently highlighted as a chapter who does well incorporating all students, regardless of income, gender, enthnicity. Last year, our GROW1000 intern was a young hispanic female who formerly participated as a young student in First Tee West Michigan.
